Dogs are known for their unwavering loyalty, and this story is no exception. A security camera at a local Minneapolis animal shelter captured a heartwarming moment between two Pittie girls with an unbreakable bond.
Pittie Brenda was not happy with the new arrangement that separated her from her best friend, Linda. Placed in adjacent kennels, the two could no longer spend time together as they used to.

These two Pit bull girls were found roaming the streets of Minneapolis together. They were rescued by Minneapolis Animal Care & Control (MACC), which provided them with a temporary home.
The staff at MACC, unaware of the strong bond between the two dogs, placed them in separate kennels. But Brenda was not content with this arrangement.
Determined to stay close to her friend, Brenda leaped over a five-foot cement wall to be with Linda.

Danielle Joerge, the supervisor at MACC, expressed amazement at Brenda’s determination to stay with Linda. The staff soon moved the two Pitties to a larger kennel so they could be together all the time. The shelter shared the security footage online, and it received thousands of heartfelt reactions nationwide.
Unbeknownst to the staff, the video would inspire many people to consider adopting the two dogs. The condition was that they had to be adopted together, as separating them was out of the question.
Kathy Walker and her husband, moved by the video, adopted Brenda and Linda the day after the video was released, giving them a forever home.

The Minneapolis couple had recently lost their beloved dog, Sampson, and hadn’t considered adopting another dog. However, after seeing the video of Brenda and Linda, they visited the shelter.
After spending just thirty minutes with the two Pitties, they filled out the adoption application and welcomed them into their home.
“The day before, I didn’t want any other dog. We had lost our dog after thirteen and a half years… The fact that she had to take care of her buddy, I was just thinking to myself, and this is gonna sound corny, I really thought my Sampson has something to do with this.”
Now, Brenda and Linda are thriving with their new family, finally enjoying the happy life they deserved.

When asked if she worried about Brenda jumping fences again, Kathy replied:
“I don’t think she’s gonna be one of those escape artists because as long as she sees Linda, she’s all good!”
